St. Patrickʼs Day

On March 17th, we celebrate Saint Patrickʼs Day. Many people have no idea how the tradition started or what it represents, so I am going to write a little bit on the subject. This day is a national holiday in Ireland and is celebrated worldwide by the Irish and the non-Irish people, most of them are Australians and North Americans. Many these days celebrate with floats, wearing green, shamrocks, luck, and drinking different types of Irish beverages. St. Patrick's Day is a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.
Saint Patrick was believed to have banished all snakes from Ireland, he was also well known for converting many thousands of pagan believers. It is said that he used the three-leafed shamrock to explain the concept of the Trinity, which refers to the combonation of Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. He died on March 17, AD 461. That day has been commemorated as St. Patrick's Day ever since.
